Day 1: Arrival Nairobi, JKIA
Transfer, House of Waine – Dinner
Upon arrival you will be picked up by your safari guide and transferred to House of Waine. House Of Waine is an 11 bedroom luxury boutique hotel on 2.5 acres that blends the elegance of gracious living with the spirit of modern Africa in an exclusive and serene setting. House Of Waine is centrally located near the best of Nairobi’s attractions such as the Karen Blixen Muesum, the Kazuri beads, The Giraffe centre and The world famous David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust amongst others.
Immersed in the leafy surrounds of Kenya’s beautiful Karen Forest is the elegant House of Waine – an upmarket retreat, which offers guests intimacy and superb accommodation. Guests can unwind in one of 11 individually decorated suites —each with a spacious, marble en-suite bathroom, satellite television, a complimentary personal non-alcoholic mini-bar, TV with satellite and local channels, and tea and coffee-making facilities. Days 2-3: Transfer Amboseli National Park
Accommodation: Tawi Lodge – Full board
After an early breakfast, you will be driven to Wilson Airport, where you will board a flight to Amboseli National Park. Amboseli National Park is one of the best known wildlife destinations in Kenya, primarily for excellent sightings of elephant in the big marshy area and the magnificent view of Mount Kilimanjaro (Observation Hill offers the best vistas). Chase the perfect sight of a massive gathering of big-tusked elephants set against the backdrop of Mt Kilimanjaro. Adventures include twice-daily game drives in open safari vehicles, walks in the conservancy (led by expert Maasai guides), cultural tours and decadent bush breakfasts.

Days 4-5: Transfer Samburu National Reserve
Accommodation: Saruni Samburu – Full board
After breakfast, you will be transferred to the airstrip for your scheduled flight to Wilson Airport and then onto Samburu. Saruni Samburu is actually located 7km north of the reserve and is a luxury, designer lodge. 95 000 Hectares of private conservancy teeming with wildlife surrounds Saruni Samburu. Saruni Samburu has 6 Family and Single Villas – each boasting of large sitting areas and open verandahs with uninterrupted panoramic views of the wilderness below. Guests can enjoy game drives in Samburu’s own conservancy – Kalama. Saruni offers exclusive luxury and privacy. Game drives are led by professional Samburu guides.
Samburu National Reserve is located in Northern Kenya and is a premier game reserve situated on the banks of the Ewaso Ng’iro river. This vast expanse of remote pristine wilderness measures 165 square kilometers in area and borders the Ewaso Ng’iro River to the south, which separates it from the Buffalo Springs National Reserve. Samburu Reserve is a unique wildlife conservation haven famous for an abundance of rare species of animals such as the Grevy Zebra, Somali Ostrich, Reticulated Giraffe, Gerenuk and the Beisa Oryx. The reserve is also home to a population of close to 900 Elephants. Large predators such as the Lion, Leopard and Cheetah are an important attraction (Kamunyak the famous Lioness that adapted a baby Oryx is a resident in the reserve). Samburu is infact one of the better locations in Kenya to spot Leopard. Wild dog sightings are also a common attraction to this unique protected area and Birdlife is abundant with over 450 recorded species.

Days 6-7: Transfer Masai Mara Game Reserve
Accommodation: Beyond Bateleur Camp
After a wholesome breakfast, you will be driven to the airstrip for your scheduled flight to the iconic Masai Mara National Reserve. Over the next few days take time to explore this wilderness area on game drives, walks or perhaps even spoil yourselves on a hot air balloon safari. Be utterly enchanted by this reserve, world-famous and for good reason.
Set amongst the forest at the foot of the scenic Oloololo escarpment (the rim of the Great Rift Valley) in Kenya’s iconic Masai Mara National Reserve, is the classic and elegant Bateleur Camp. Comprised of just two intimate camps of nine Luxury Tents each and a Luxury Family Tent; each with its own private butler and housekeeper reflects the ambiance and glamour of Kenyan explorers of old. Slip into a world of hardwood floors, polished silver and copper bathtubs juxtaposed against the romance of the open Mara plains, with their abundant herds of wildlife. Beautifully handcrafted artefacts, fine antiques, leather buttoned Chesterfield sofas, books, and crystal and candlelight adorn the comfortable sitting and dining areas.
The Maasai Mara experience is an exhilarating one! During the day, you go on a game drive through Masai Mara. The game reserve is best known for its wildebeest and zebra migration, which tends to pass through the area July to October, but many areas offer excellent game viewing year round. Breakfast and lunch at camp. We offer you the option to go on a balloon safari (for a surcharge) and to enjoy the bird’s eye view of Kenya.

Day 8: Depart, Fly Nairobi

You will have one last chance to witness the wilderness surrounding camp before you pack up. In the morning, before the sun has risen above the horizon, you will set off with a ranger to view lions, cheetahs, and leopards hunting during these early hours. Blessed with open plains spreading endlessly in all directions and punctuated with forests climbing towards the sky, you will have no shortage of diverse environments to spot the curious creatures living within the bush. After your adventure, you will return to camp to collect your things and transfer to the airport.
