Day 1: Nairobi – Nanyuki (2,000m)

Depart Nairobi in the morning and drive north toward Nanyuki town, arriving by midday. After lunch, the afternoon is reserved for acclimatization walks around the region as you prepare for your trek. A detailed briefing and gear check follow to ensure you have everything needed for the climb. Dinner and overnight in Nanyuki.

Day 2: Nanyuki – Sirimon Gate – Old Moses Camp (3,300m)

After breakfast, drive to Sirimon Gate (2,650m) and complete park formalities. Begin the trek through the beautiful montane forest and bamboo zone, gradually moving into the heather region. The hike takes 3–4 hours, covering 9 km to Old Moses Camp. Enjoy dinner and an early night as temperatures drop sharply.

Day 3: Old Moses Camp – Shipton’s Camp (4,200m)

Today’s trek is long but scenic, crossing the Ontulili River and ascending through moorland landscapes with spectacular views of the peaks. You’ll walk past Likii North Valley before reaching Shipton’s Camp at 4,200m. This is your base camp and a perfect viewpoint for the jagged snow-capped peaks. Dinner and overnight at Shipton’s.

Day 4: Acclimatization Day At Shipton’s Camp

This day is dedicated to acclimatization to prepare your body for the altitude. Short hikes are taken toward Offer and Hausberg Col, helping your body adjust. Spend the rest of the day relaxing at camp, hydrating, and preparing for the early morning summit attempt. Overnight at Shipton’s.

Day 5: Shipton’s Camp – Point Lenana (4,985m) – Old Moses – Nanyuki

Begin your summit attempt at around 2:00 AM, climbing through rocky terrain toward Point Lenana. Reach the summit just in time for a magnificent sunrise over the continent. After celebrating your achievement, descend to Shipton’s for breakfast, then continue down to Old Moses Camp. Transfer back to Nanyuki for rest and recovery. Overnight in Nanyuki.

Day 6: Nanyuki – Nairobi

After breakfast, depart Nanyuki and drive back to Nairobi, arriving around midday and marking the end of the trek.
